A gem of the Hautes-Vosges
Lake Lauch, at an altitude of 920 metres, is a magnificent mountain lake surrounded by forests. You can walk around the lake (1 hour 30 minutes), swim in the designated area in summer, go fishing, and enjoy a meal at the cosy lakeside inn.
Our advice
Go there mid-morning to enjoy the peace and quiet before the families arrive. You can combine this with a visit to the Markstein or the Grand Ballon on the same day. In winter, access is sometimes restricted by snow: check the weather forecast.
